Jo Glassford raced her future husband during a yachting contest before she’d met him.

And it was after the race when the teams went out for drinks together that she got to know Mark Longstaff.

Jo, 38, and Mark, 39, live in Hamble and have been together for seven years.

Mark proposed last year on the same day as the royal wedding when they were coming back from New York on the QM2.

Jo says: ‘There was a celebratory meal and he put the ring inside the menu! It was a complete surprise.’

A little over a year later and the couple married at St Andrew’s Church in Hamble and held their reception at Bradgate Manor, Netley Abbey.

Jo’s beautiful gown was from Creatiques in Southsea.

The couple spent two weeks in Singapore and Bali for their honeymoon.
