CREATIQUES Bridal Boutique has held an opening for its new Southsea shop.

The popular store has moved to Albert Road and organised an official opening ceremony.

Andrew and Robert Pearce and the Creatiques team performed the ribbon cutting themselves.

Gemma Philpott was the first bride to cross the threshold of the boutique to purchase her wedding dress and was greeted with a bouquet of flowers.

Gemma said: ‘I’m so excited about being the first bride in the new store and to be buying my dress today. The other shop was lovely but the new store is amazing.’

She went on to say: ‘Andrew and Rob buy from the Harrogate London show and also in Europe travelling to Holland last year to see the new collection.

‘The interior design looks like a top London boutique with a warehouse, retro, chic style of a New York store.

‘It’s so individual, well lit with natural light, not at all imposing and very spacious allowing the gowns to breathe on the rails. I wish them every success.’

Nicole Geddes, a Creatiques bride from 2006, was also at the launch and said: ‘I have watched the Creatiques brand grow and develop. The new shop is stylish and glamorous, yet warm and friendly with very affordable gowns.’

Another past bride Charlotte Evans, who works in Marmion Road, also commented on how she was spoilt for choice and had five dresses she liked.

Finally Andrew and Rob picked her dress and when she put it on her mum cried – she said that’s when you know it’s the right one.

‘My wedding was abroad in Las Vegas, however the customer service continued when I came back as Creatiques steamed my dress ready for my reception at home.

‘I wish them every success in the new location. We are already missing them in Marmion Road.’

Following the opening, Andrew said: ‘The shop has surpassed our expectations and the response we have had from our brides has been incredible.’

The pair decided to combine their two shops, one in Marmion Road in Southsea and the other, Inspired Bridal in Old Portsmouth, into one, 1,200sq ft shop.

Before the new shop opened, Robert explained: ‘The internal design for the new boutique has been inspired by our recent business trip to New York.

‘The overall look will wow our brides and give them the ultimate chic ambiance, for a fabulous shopping experience for their dress of a lifetime, from the minute they walk through the door.’
